WEEK 6 TEAM REPORT

Ahhh. Success at last. I came across an interesting FAQ. This was about the Automobile Safety Foundation. I got here by going into Search Engines and selecting Infoseek net search. I typed in faq, automobiles, and driving and a whole list of stuff came out. Some of it had nothing to do with driving or automobiles. There it was: Automobile Saftey Foundation FAQ. Apparently ASF is just one guy with a gripe against Japanese cars. He was involved in an accident with his Nissan, resulting in the death of someone. He blames Japanese auto makers for the accident and claims there's a conspiracy against Americans. He claims that because his car didn't have interlock the steering column of the car locked, resulting in the accident. I'm not sure what the deal is. I do think he's paranoid to think people are out to get him and has gone overboard with this. He has even had account revoked and has resorted to using a different name or a variation of his name to get another account. Check out the ASF home page.

In this FAQ, there were safety warnings(jokes) recommended by other people in response to the ASF warnings. One person suggested welding doors shut so people won't fall out of their cars. The other comments feel along the same lines.

Any comments?
