This week I did not find a driving story. Instead I found a page
where a guy named David Wade has an idea to improve our roads.
His idea is the have Eye signs on the
road.
The basic idea is to paint huge eyes on the road looking in the
direction that a motorist or pedestrian should check before crossing
the intersection. David apparently thinks that we are so stupid
and have no common sense to know which way to look. He thinks
that by painting these eyes, it will reduce accidents among tourists,
children and others on the road.
I personally think this is a very strange idea and a waste of
money. I don't think that many tax payers would want their tax
dollars to go for this.
