(b) The tone and style was again of the usual usenet type conversation.
(c) The main argument included in this usenet group, was the reasons for speed limiters. Speed limiters are devices on cars that would automatically keep a car from doing over the posted speed limit. The reasons why speed limiters are on cars are as follows: 1) Manufacturers are cheap. They put low performance parts on their cars and then put on a limiter so that their cars would not have to perform to such a high standard. 2) Insurance lobbyists have been attacking manufacturers to make cars limited. The don't like any one car be too "supped up", or else it would be too expensive for people to drive.
I think that speed limiters are a ridiculous waste of time and money. What are we going to do with all the cars that are already out their and don't have the limiters? How are we going to punish people who take of the limiters off their cars? Sometimes speeding is justified. Such as the case when you have to be in the hospital right away. I would much rather speed then, than obey the laws.
(d) This is useful to traffic psychology, because a limiter would regulate anyone from ever speeding. This device would eliminate the problem of speeding drivers. Imagine that; No freedom what so ever of how fast you want to drive. Would you feel safer on the road? I don't think so. If a person was an unsafe driver before the limiters, then that person would still be an unsafe driver with the limiters. Think about that.
