I could see how G1 home pages are not as refined as G2 home pages because of the fact that they didn't have a generation before them to refer to. For example,Kevin Bogan's home page took a while to upload probably because of the class picture that they took. His home page is simple and to the point, which you would expect for a first generation. Although, he was the first generation, he had a vision of the future.
He envisioned that "each semester, new students enter the Generational Virtual Community and add to the Generational Virtual hypertext superdocument." For a first generation page, Kevin has all you could ever want in a home page, especially how to make HTML documents. I think that should be one of the major links included in everyone's pages for those visiting to have that link embedded in their minds that "hey, that is an important part. the html."
Leave a ContributionJae Isa's home page is also simple and to the point. Jae adds color to her page, which help make it appealing to the eye. Also, various icons help make me want to read the text that comes with it.
It seems that every homepage has some sort of uniqueness to them. Like Kevin Bogan's making html file, Jae Isa has a glossary file.
