The one thing that I hate more than driving in traffic is following someone that's driving slow. Com'on, every body who has a drivers license knows what I'm talking about. So, I believe that I am not to blame when I tail others and I can explain by telling you situations that I've experienced. One of my reasons for tailgating others is when a car that I am following on the fast lane is driving 40 mph on a 55 limit speed zone. What are these cars doing on the fast lane, if they are driving slow then they should at least go to the slower lane and let drivers like me past. Traffic would flow a lot better with out them on them freeway. I know that what I say might sound mean but, I just can't help my self a slow driver drives me crazy!!!!

I do not like people that tailgate, especially on the freeways...very dangerous. When I was in college, someone was tailgating me as I was coming onto the freeway by Punahou. I tried to slow down so the guy would pass me, but he still tailgated, so I sped up and braked real hard then stepped on the gas so I wouldn't get rear-ended. The guy in the back didn't anticipate by braking, so he hit the brakes real hard and fish-tailed and skidded. Then he got the hint and drove around my car.
I have seen one or two accidents where someone has been rear-ended while getting onto the freeway. Bad stuff.

Well in regards to a tailgating experience: a couple years back, I was tailgating a fried of mine when suddenly he had to come to a complete stop. As expected, I hit his truck. The only problem was, my car went under. It brought my hood to come crashing through my windshield, and never did I tailgate again.

tailgating on the highway? hmmmmm is that when people drive too close to your bumper on the freeway? if it is then...i think that people who do that are just waiting for an accident to happen...or just creating an accident to happen.. they are either impatient, in a rush or just plain a-holes....or punks....i think that it is dangerous because the judgement of the person you are tailgating is unpredictable...they may suddenly break or they may slow down....

Well, for me, I think that tailgating on the highway seems pretty cool. I don't think that it will obstruct traffic, only if people act all obnoxious and stuff. I also think that tailgating in Hawaii is like a big ohana luau and that I don't find nothing wrong with it. I know that people are not suppose to bring in alcohol and stuff into the stadium grounds or on state or city property. But, tailgating is a good way to bring up the spirit of the game and to bring together friends and families. Well, if you need anymore information, please let me know. I hope this helped. Bye bye!
