I had to learn everything because all the skills I needed to learn were new and different. This class made me think differently because everything I did involved with the computers. The task of managing the database was my major responsibility. It gave me an opportunity to expand my database and search inforamtion on my database.

My motivation for this class was to do well and learn everything I can about the internet. First of all I wanted to do well in this class. Basically, I wanted a good grade which motivated me to do my best. I acquired a mentality that whatever I decided to do I would put 100 percent effort. I knew that if I set my mind to do something then I strive to do my best.

Another motivation factors for this class were developing and expanding my computer knowledge. I can finally relate to people using the internet. I knew a lot of people were involved with internet and how important learning to use the internet was to communicate with other people. I had accomplished that goal and I even created a homepage that I never dreamed of doing. I felt proud of myself for becoming familiar with the computer and overcoming many obstacles such as the computer technophobia which was big accomplishment for me.

I also noticed that the more time I spent surfing the net the more I was intrigued by it. It made me curious about everything and I developed a desire to learn how the internet connected people and how the information was traveling around the world. This fascinated me and I wanted to explore the world using the netscape especially to visit the art museum.

I learned that I had to be patience with myself and with the computer to accomplish my goal. I realized that if I wanted to do well I needed to have the desire to learn and experience new things. The skills I developed as the class progress was consistence and responsibility. With these skills I was able to overcome my boredom, progress forward, and to broaden my perspectives.

Before taking this class I never used the e-mail and the internet. Sometimes I felt out of place when my fellow classmates talk about creating a homepage and surfing the net. Now I felt more comfortable sending and receiving e-mail messages. Also I enjoyed surfing the net and I found the internet to be very informative. I can practically search for anything and see what other people are doing around the world. The idea of surfing the net had changed my view of communicating and obtaining information. Lastly, I was proud of myself for creating a homepage in the netscape and surviving this semester.

On-line communciation have changed the way people view the world and how they interact with each other. Each day more people are buying computers and logging into internet. Internet is like a wide mass of information people are fascinated. Getting information on-line save time and money and in a world where time is money this has revolutionized people. I also know that a lot of people get into the chat line. One of my classmate told me that once you are in the chat line you stay on the line for hours and hours. This is the innovative way of interacting with one another and also finds someone with the same interest. One can also chat with someone around the world. Just thinking about how people can chat with someone miles away fascinate me.
