Leon James' Home Page

Welcome to Canaan Machida's experience on visiting Generation 1 and Generation 2 of Dr. Leon James' Internet Psychology class. Here in "Report 1," I will be using my personal experiences and knowledge of Web Publishing to analyze the web sites of various students from Generations 1 and 2 of Dr. James' Psychology 409 class. Each critique will focus on my analysis of the appearance, content, and structure of the student's web sites as a whole. The criteria for each section of analysis for both this Report 1 and also for Report 2 are discussed below:

Criteria

Appearance:-(Looks)
The colors of the page's background, text, and links are all very important to a page's readability. The site's author should also show a little creativity in attracting someone's attention to their page. The use of images, icons, bullets, and bars that add to the page's visual attractiveness is also quite important.

Content:-(All the words)
The text of the page should be written in a fluid, easily understandable manner. The page should be organized in an efficient way so that the first time visitor can navigate through it easily. The page's author should write in a way so as to recognize that their audience may be first time visitors.

Structure:-(Layout of the links)
The organization of the page's links is important in this section. All links should click to its designated site whether it is an internal or external link. The style in which the author sets up the links is also important. Annotated, or described links, are a great boon to a student's page.
