Captain's log, Just joking I hate Star Trek... Once again I've learned something and from someone I've helped. After seeing Amy Lam's homepages more indepth I realize that the instructor Dr. James, will allow experimentation with coloring which is extremely important. Background is extremely important to setting a tone. I've become more bold in using colors to give character and emotions to pages. I most agree strongly with my friend that a black background pushes out everything pictures, links, and text and gives more depth. I think color maybe better than background tiles or pictures because they don't make things more difficult to read with some common sense and color background do not take away from the message text or pictures and in fact magnifies the deminsion of pictures and the page.

My pet peeve when I make a link is to be overwelmed with graphics. Unless they are relevant to the topic information, I don't feel they belong on the page. It's not that they don't look nice or are not fun and interesting to look at, but I feel it takes away from the main purpose of the page. I think the best graphics are the ones that directly apply to the topics. They make the page interesting to look at and give the visitor a instant feel for what the page is about.
