Subject: Ideas for Improving Government
Here are some ideas for improving government:
1. Term limits for ALL elected politicians should be established.
2. All foreign lobbyists should be outlawed.
3. Domestic lobbyists should provide information only.
4. Money and gifts from domestic lobbyists to politicians should be
outlawed.
5. Reasonable maximum amounts should be established for contributions from
individuals, groups, and businesses to politicians.
6. The salaries and, especially the retirement programs, of all politicians
should be reduced to that of the average American person.

We Stand America
I was a member of United We Stand America from 3/93 to 3/94. I liked their
ideas but their organization had problems.
I just read your "Report 2" and you have had a very, very interesting seven
weeks!
Hope this helps.
Mass transit (or the lack of it) has to be a major problem for me and the
State of Hawaii. In a Housing and Transportation Survey by the Office
of the Lieutenant Governor published in 1970, 41% of those surveyed said
they would use mass transit to go to work. The Department of
Transportation must look into metropolitan areas' bus/subway systems and
learn from them. All factors would point to people wanting mass transit
if it was convenient.
This was taken from a paper written by a Psychology 222 student in
1977. Nineteen years later, the issue of an effective mass transit
system has still not been addressed.

I+firmly+agree+with+Hal.++It+is+the+entrenchment+of+old+ideas
along+with+old+IOU's +that+prevents+government+from+adapting.
++Couple+that+ with+the+stigma+of+ legacies +and+you've +got+a
+government+to+fear.++ Education=One=Two= Difficulty. I+don't+need+to+get+over+it
