The report 4: General comments on the internet:

What has motivated me in this class is the challange to understand more about the internet. I find very exiting to communicate on the internet and be a part of the modern technology. Universal communication represente to me many positive things, like open mindness toward others ideas and culture, thus if we reach a global understanding of each other we are moving toward a world peace. Maybe saying that the internet is the key to world peace is idealistic, but I am ready to try and encourage others to do so. As a social psychologist I learn very diferent informations about people,deeper informations. On the internet, we are beyond any judgemnt of physical appearance, I found people able to talk about deeper subject faster than during face to face communication.
Most of the conflict I have experience is being able to get online as well as to stay on line. It is frustrating because there is nothing I can do right now about it and I depend on others to improve the system. To learn the internet demand a lot of patience. Some day I found a lot of interessing information and some day I stare at my computers for many hours and all I got from it was a terrible headache. I find the internet very challanging because, it is limitless, every day someone add something to it. It is constently updated. I learn so much on the internet and I met facinating people.
The Internet is worthwile and is definitly the way of the future. I personnaly enjoy because I come from another country and through the internet I can read the paper, be informed on art, politic and everything that is gooing on there. I also found my friends at the University of Geneva. I have met very interesting people and converse on topics that we were interested in common. I don't know where else could have had a consversation with an engeneer in India and one in Canada at the same time. So it is wonderful at a intelectual level growing level and entertaining level.
I became very involved with the online experience. I check my e-mail every day and I am very involved with the whole process now. Everytime I wonder about something, I research on the internet and find a great variety of ideas, from places I would never have look for. I really believe that it is affecting society in a a positive way. It gives anyone access to all sort of knowledge and communication.
