My Visit to Diane's Homepage

APPEARANCE & STRUCTURE

Diane's homepage is rather plain looking, but she does have a few splashes of color here and there which adds some visual excitement. Her pages were easy to navigate due to their logical, simple organization, something which everyone can appreciate. I almost left her page upon landing there, but the few colorful bars and simple organization managed to keep me there. It seems rather sad that something must be aesthetically pleasing to some degree to hold my interest, but it's a fact, and I can't deny it. Yet another sad fact: I have a short attention span and I can't stand staring at a cluttered, endless sea of text, it turns me off. Lucky for me though, Diane's reports were structured wonderfully, with many small paragraphs and breaks in the text.

CONTENT

I really enjoyed her page, she had some hilarious stuff!! The first jewel I stumbled upon was "practical advice for a student drinker" in her Ladybug Zone , very entertaining. She also had "study breaks" in between her reports, like "Fun things to do in an Elevator" and "Insurance Humor" which can also be found in the Ladybug Zoneor in her reports (week8 409, week7 459 respectively). I was reading these lists while in the computer lab and started laughing to myself, then I started laughing softly by myself; needless to say I didn't want to seem like a complete psycho, so I stopped reading for fear I'd crack up uncontrollably, alone, in the middle of a crowded computer lab. Though her reports were filled with humor, she also expressed more serious thoughts and feelings. I can't wait to get back and finish reading her "study breaks"!!
