sakodash 03/13/01 6:37 PM RE: Scary Movie got some rage
I thought that movie was kind of gross...especially the movie
theater part. Granted, she may have deserved some kind of punishment and I know
some people in movie theaters WISH they could do that to an annoying person
watching a movie but that was just plain gross. What was even worse was the
part when the boyfriend went into the bathroom during the movie.
PHYRE2001 03/12/01 9:02 PM RE: Scary Movie got some rage
Scary Movie in my opinion was a dumb movie. Personally I do not
like comedy movies because they never make me laugh, but I especially do not
like movies that make fun of another movie. Where is the originality, and how
is that funny. It is just like the music nowaday that I talked about in music
rage. There seems to be no artistic value or orginality. I think that artists
need to regroup and rethink!!
MAX676 03/12/01 12:09 AM Scary Movie got some rage
Did anybody see Scary Movie. I want to share the rage that hapened
inthe movie when their was this annoying lady disturbing all of the peace. She
would keep making stupid comments, and she was incredibly bothersome to the
other people in the theater. Finally, a old lady grabbed the knike from the
killer in the 'Scream Sequel', and she stabbed the bitch. Everyone started
cheering. Everyone in the theater had a knife, and they all took their turn to
stab this annoying women. I know it sounds pretty incensitive of me to use this
example, but if you saw the movie, it is all pretty hilarious, probably because
it is a remake of what happened in the beginning of Scream 2.
darell 03/12/01 12:35 AM rage against a friend
This is an incident that happened this weekend. A couple of my
friends and I went to see a movie at the theatre. To make a long story short,
one of my friends met a guy there and he invited the rest of us to his house
after the movies. I thought that it was going to be a friendly gesture were we
would all hang out and just talk story. But unfortunately, the night took a
change when she went into the guys room. She left my friend and I in the living
room all by ourselves in a foreign house while she was enjoying herself in the
guys room that she just met that night. My friend and I started to get mad
because she abandoned us (who she considers her good friends) to (I guess) fool
around with her new found friend. After about 20 minutes, she comes out of the
room and tells us that she only kissed him (but I know more than that
occurred). Anyways, my friend and I were already furious because she left us
alone and she has the nerve to lie to us. After her discovering that we were
mad at her, she decides to grab my keys to my car and runs back into the guys
room and locks the door. This really pissed me off so we went to grab my keys
from her and she eventually gave it and I told her to find her damn way home.
So my friend and I left her there and we left. After almost reaching my house,
I began to feel guilty because if something happened to her there, I would
blame myself. So we drove back to the guys house and tried calling her to let
her know that we were going to pick her up, but she ignored our calls. After
about 30 minutes of waiting in the car, I decided to back into the house to get
her. At this point I was already furious. When I got to the door, she was
coming out of the guy's room and she acts as if nothing was going on. This
pissed me off even more. So I asked her if she was going home with us and she said
no! So I said fine and we left. The main thing that pissed me off is that she
picked this guy that she only knew for a couple of hours over her good friends.
From then until now, I never heard from her. But it's okay because it's her
life and she chooses what she wants to do with it. This was my rage experience.
TVR 03/14/01 9:50 AM RE: Grad Sesson Rage
Damn, sorry to hear about your grad session experience. Hopefully,
that won't happen to me when I go on friday. But, to your other point of being
in college forever, I know exactly what you mean. I think I've been going to
college for around 6 years already and only now I hope I'll graduating. I'm
trying to get into the grad session on friday but I still didn't get my golden
form back yet. Hopefully, it's soon because I don't want to be stuck here
another semester just because of that. Anyways, stick in there. Your almost
finish. Why don't you take those two lit courses in the summer so you don't
have to come back in the fall. Anyways, good in the future everything should
turn our fine.
mightymousesa 03/12/01 10:07 PM RE: Grad Sesson Rage
I am a transfer student as well and I have a couple of hints that
may help you w/ your grad. requirements. The reason UH requires that you take
their couses (even the 100 level ones)is so that they make money from your
tuition. However, UH is also lazy. If you can get copies of your syllabus from
your former institution you can submit them to UH Admissions and 9 times out of
10 they will let the class count for a UH course that will fit one of your core
credits. But this requires you taking the initiative. I came over w/ 126
credits and UH only gave me 85. I brought in syllabuses and now I am back up to
121 and have the only the summer session to go before I graduate from UH and I
just transfered in August 2000. Also transfer students do not have a mandatory
advising session however they should. I also think that there should be grad
sessions made mandatory every other semester to make sure people stay on track
and are not misinformed. I hope some of the prior info. has helped.
PHYRE2001 03/12/01 8:41 PM RE: Grad Sesson Rage
I know how it feels to have grad rage. I went to a grad session last
semester because I wanted to know how many more credits I needed to graduate. I
turns out that this could have been my last semester, but I cannot graduate due
to my g.p.a. The reason I was so raged was because I was informed that if you
take a course over the better grade will replace the worse grade. Wrong!! The
grades in the psychology department all get averaged in. I was so raged, I mean
I understand that maybe I should have studied harder, but that messes me up
bigger if I receive misinformed information. But, just out of curiousity, the
administration did not mention any of this information to you when you first
transferred to UH. I thought that you had to go to some type of counseling when
you transfer to a new school. UH is becoming worse and worse!!
cjn 03/12/01 5:33 PM RE: Grad Sesson Rage
I feel the same way about the administration at UH. I think they
should be more helpful and informative. Why can't they make it a requirement
for students to meet an adviser before registering each semester so that we
know exactly where we stand and our progress towards graduation. UH is so
impersonal.

PM RE: Grad Sesson Rage
ms lacey, can you take those english classes during summer school?
i think i would take them (if possible) rather than staying here another
semester!! i know how you feel about how this school sucks. heck, i haven't
even been able to get into a grad session! they're always booked! this school
isn't student friendly, especially with all the construction! hope you can find
a solution to your problem!
MsLacey 03/12/01 10:12 AM Grad Sesson Rage
I have been going to UH since dinasours roamed the Earth. I
transfered from another school, a superior institution, and I have enough credits
for two degrees. I went to my Grad session last week and it turns out that UH
is not going to accept some of my clases from the mainland, so I have to stay
for another semester for two Lit. courses. I have some rage. I have taken 4oo
level English classes at UH, the ones I need are 100 level, can't thoes count?
I have about had it with this school. The administration sucks, the faculty is
under paid and pissed off, there is no parking, there is always some usless
construction happening to buildings that don't need it, and now I have to be
here for another semester!! I am over it already.
shaun56 03/12/01 4:35 PM RE: to much movie previews
What????? Are you serious...... You mean to
tall me that you do not enjoy movie previews??? That is the essence of going to
the movies. The previews allow people who do not watch much TV (like me) to get
a glimpse of the up and coming movies. I enjoy watching previews, they make me
feel like I am in the critics seat or something of that sort. But, I bet you
did like that movie huh?? I totally dug it. I am like totally a martial arts,
kung fu movie fan, and I have to say that the movie made it into my top 10
list. Maybe about 8, I'd say. So did you understand the moral behind the
story?? Did you understan and enjoy the eastern thought behind the sayings. I
surely did. Well, I have to agree with you on the Pearl Harbor thing. I am
totally ready to watch it, but I'm getting bummed out because they show it so
much. I think that every movie I have seen in the past 3 weeks, have shown that
stinkin preview. It is also sooooooo loooooong, you know. I hope they did not
spoil the good parts, and I hope when us japanese go and see it, everyone won't
like beat us down after the movie. And about that stink eye.............. Is it
just me, am I trippin', or is it just you???? Nah, I don't know, maybe I'm just
a paranoid freak that is trippin' on others all of the time. I'll try not to
look at you, but sometimes I just can't help myself..... Anyways, hope you have
a good week, see ya next Monday!!
charisseo 03/12/01 3:23 PM to much movie previews
this weekend
i saw the movie croching tiger hidden dragon this weekend. i really liked the
movie and would reccomend this movie others.. but one thing that i have been
noticing that has been occuring is that there is too many previews before a
movie! it is not a couple of movies that are shown. it's more like 4-5. it
wouldn't be too bad if the movie on preview would be coming out in a month or
so. but these are movies that won't be out till next season, or even a whole
year later! for example last september i saw a preview for that movie Pearl
Harbor. i was all ready to so see it, thinking that it would be out within a
couple of months. instead it said that it would not be due out till may of
2001. that's means that they have been showing this preview for eight months
prior to the release date. i understand they are creating a demand for the
movie but it is kinda irratiatinag when the movies that i want to see this weekend
won't be out for months later.
PHYRE2001 03/12/01 8:33 PM RE: FART RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
!!
When I began reading your forum disccussion,
I just had to begin laughing. I think that is the first time I have ever heard of
someone getting angry over a fart. The only question that I have is, how come
you got so angry? I can understand you getting angry because you did not
appreciate her farting in the elevator and perhaps she could have waited until
you both have gotten out of the elevator. Secondly, what makes you think that
cute people cannot have the most racid and stink farts. In my opinion, I bet
that the cute ones are probably the ones who would have the most racid and
stink farts because you just would not expect it. Thanks for the laugh anyways.
shaun56 03/13/01 3:34 PM RE: FART RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! !!
!!
The only reason I was mad was because she
couldn't hold it untill I got out. Maybe it slipped, but that was funny. I was
not very enraged. But I think she could have held it for three or more seconds.
By the way, I did not fart.... I think ha ha ha bye

RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! !!
hey shaun56, are you sure you didn't fart?!
haha! anyways...everyone farts! just because you are good looking doesn't mean
you aren't capable of farting. why were you mad that she farted? it's natural!
shaun56 03/12/01 4:43 PM FART RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
Okay you gotta listen to this....... Today
after class, I was going to my car in the parking structure. I'm at the top,
waiting for the elevator and this cute girl just so happens to come and wait
with me. The elevators arrives, and we both hop in; of course being the
gentleman I am, I let the girl enter first. I hit the two button, and she tells
me to press the 1 button. Everything is all cool and dandy as we are decending
to our destined floors untill we hit the midpoint between the 4th and 3rd
floor. Suddenly, I smell something rancid as hell. I could not believe my
nose!!!!! I was thinking: cute girls like this make such nasty stinky
farts??!?!?! I was blown away literally. And I must say that she was not
expecting it to come either. I held my breath, and my laugh as the elevator
ride seemed to be the longest ever. When it hit my floor, I bursted out of the
elevator, and walkeed to my car. Then I started to laugh a bit, but then I got
mad. I got mad because how could a sweet innocent looking girl be so crude as
to fart in a fricken elevator. But the anger slipped away with the tought of me
seeing her on campus later, labeling her as my sweetfart>>>

03/12/01 4:49 PM bad
to good
I just remembered an unusual incident that
occurred to me a couple of years ago. A male friend and I were driving home
late one night when we noticed that some guy was aggressively tailing us. I was
starting to get pissed because I didn't understand why he was doing that. I
told my friend to pull off to the side. The guy pulled off to the side too. I
got out and asked him,"what the @#*&* is your problem!" (I know,
not smart) It was pretty obvious that he was drunk. anyway, he starts yelling
incoherently. Apparently, we had cut him off somewhere. We just kept yelling
and making threats, when I finally realized this was stupid. I apologized for
whatever we did and encouraged him to go home and sleep it off. You know what,
he said ok. He then explained how he had such a bad day at work and was pretty
upset. We even embraced before we left our separate ways. My friend and i could
not believe what had just happened. It's too bad that we started off pretty
bad, but it makes me happy to know that a road rage incident can be resolved.
Imagine it the situation got worse or dangerous? I wonder if that guy still
recognizes me on the road.

03/13/01 4:35 PM RE: MUSIC RAGE
hey! i know what you mean! i hate the music
nowadays. it's all remakes and sampling. i, too, don't understand why these
singers can't come up with their own stuff. that's why i listen to KQMQ now.
they play all the original 80's music that kicks butt! i feel sorry for the
kids nowadays because they have no original music to listen to. it's all
fabricated blah! nothing original. i like listening to all the oldies. i'm an
old person at heart, i think! also, alot of music now is just rap and stuff
that sounds lame. too hard on the ears!!
PHYRE2001 03/12/01 9:07 PM MUSIC RAGE
I don't understand the music that is put out into
stores nowadays. I don't want to stereoype and put all music in one category
because that is never the case, but a lot of music that comes out nowadays is
just a remake of a song that was previously released. I dont understand how an
artist can take someone elses music and just add their own lyrcs and call it
their own. I started noticing this when Mariah Carey came out with Fantasy. It
was a remake of some 80's band. I know that the band did not mind because it
made their song popular again, but I don't understand why Mariah could not
think of her own songs. I know that Will Smith and all of his music is just
older songs that he raps to. Puff Daddy did the same thing. And I just recently
heard a song on the radio, and found out the the tune was composed by Mozart.
What is the world coming to, is there no longer a value for artistic reasoning.
oshale 03/15/01 9:21 AM RE: THEFT RAGE
Oh, I am so sorry to hear that but you know I
was victim as well. I think when you live so near the campus and Makiki area,
it is really dangerous. My boyfriend recently got his car stolen. You know that
sounds like it only happens to other people and when he came to pick me up and
parked his car on my stally for an hour or so, the car disappeared. Can you
believe that? We rather have the car broken into then take the whole thing. It
was a Honda Civic and car thieves love that. We totally gave up on the car but
it was found 2 weeks later at Ewa BEach. I was so upset. How can people be so
moralless? HOw can they take someone else's thing so easily? I think especially
Hawaii, why do we have so many thieves? I know, i had my cds taken and so many
others things in the past and I know this one person who got her moped stolen
twice!! After the first one got stolen, the second one that she replaced with
got stolen as well! I hope you get over this though! I know you probably want
to catch the thieves and get revenge but even the police seem to be not
interested in catching the theives. I know, cause I've been there. They just
think they are not going to catch them and don't really do anything about it.
This leads to Police rage but anyway, i hope you feel better and maybe you'll
have better luck from now on.And just think, what goes around comes around so
those thieves will have there things stolen or much more horrible things happen
to them. =)

03/14/01 9:41 PM RE: THEFT RAGE
I'm sorry to hear that these all problems
happened to you in a short period of time...it's still in March and you've had
thefts a couple of times!! Of course all thefts are bad but it seems me very
unfair that those people had to steal things from poor college students. I know
one graduate studen's motorcycle got stolen and other student's bicycle got
stolen twice this year. I also know one student's house got broken into and her
computor and many other expensive stuff were taken. I'm frustrated to hear that
there is no way to find thieves and stolen properties...why is that? Is this
because this happens too frequently so that there aren't enough police to work
on the problem? Or they don't help people if it's not fatal??
mightymousesa 03/12/01 10:18 PM THEFT RAGE
This will be short and sweet because other
wise my rage will consume me on this one. I am 21 years old and I have lived in
some big cities in my life such as New York and Atlanta. Up until I moved here
in 1999, I had never had a theft. This year alone I have had my apartment
broken into with my laptop, cell, and wallet stolen. Then I had my moped
stolen. And Saturday between 9am and 1pm I had my car broken into and my
mountain bike stolen!!!!(The mountain Bike was stolen from inside my car) This
was the last straw!!! I called the police and told them that I wanted them to
come and take fingerprints and a report NOW!! But once again I was reminded
that I probably will never see my stuff again and it is just about impossible
to find the theives!!!! I am a responsible law abidding citizen who locks her
doors and tries to stay away from trouble, but trouble seems to be hunting me
down and the police have been NO help.I am so FRUSTRATED!!
shaun56 03/14/01 7:08 PM RE: DOG $#!T Rage!!!!!!
Ahhhhhh......... No wonder everyone gives me
stink eye. But no one gives it as well as you do. I think you must have a very peculiar
nose to pick up such faint scents. And just to clear the record, I do take a
shower!!!! Do you have a cat??? I used to have a cat until it unfortunately ran
away. No>>> I did not treat it bad, I think it was just lured into the
street life by all of the other cats in my neighborhood. Well, it has been nice
to hear from you again!!!=) I hope we can chat again. I'll call you stinky,
since you always give me such a nasty eye.:) Bye bye....
charisseo 03/13/01 9:32 PM RE: DOG $#!T Rage!!!!!!
so you have doggie poop on your shoes and the
rest of you smells like fart!? no wonder people give you stink eye! he he... as
for your doggie poop problems all i can say is that if you had a cat you
wouldn't have that problem. cats know where they should poop. right in their
litter box :) only problem you would have is that occassionaly hair ball
mess... but, that does not have an odor.
shaun56 03/13/01 3:48 PM DOG $#!T Rage!!!!!!
Alright.... for those of you who have heard
about my fart rage, this has top just add to the smell of it. Yesterday, I was
working on my car. I have two cute cocker spaniels that I truly adore. I am
rebuilding my car, and most of my parts are stored in the backyard. OK... Well,
when I come home from school, I pick up the dog crap, wash down the pavement,
and play with my dogs a little. Then I try to work on my car before hitting the
books. Well, when I was moving parts from the front to the backyard, guess what
happened. Okay, I must remind you that this was after cleaning the prior
poopings up already. aYup, no doubt, I stepped on a new, stinkin', fresh pile
of $#!T... At first, I had to be pissed. That's ironic, pissed because I
stepped on $#!T. Anyways, I had to laugh after my dogs came up to me, sniffed
me, and ran away. Now, my question to all is: why do dogs never step on their
own $#!T??? They seem to know every land mine they set, and exactly where they
are. Maybe it's their joke against us "smart" humans......
carlisle 03/14/01 10:03 PM RE: Strike rage!!
Yes, this strike concern is getting pretty
old. Yet, it is still a very big concern among the majority of the students.
There are so much things that I hear, that concerns the teacher strike. The
thing that pops my bubble is the fact that there are so many issues out there
on the table, that are not fully explained to the students. No one can give a
definate answer on the this whole strike issue. That makes things that much
harder and much more frustrating to deal with. The vote was done this even
(wed. 3/14/01) now all that we can do is wait. Wait, wait, and wait. The
stress. The only thing that I can do is wait, and take advantage of the
education that I am being given right now.

03/17/01 12:47 PM RE: Strike rage!!
If your information is accurate, probably so,
I think that it's unfair. If the strike lasts more than two weeks, the semester
will be cancelled. That's just not right. The public school teachers, HSTA,
have taken a strike vote which overwhelming says that they would strike if no contract
is reached. But in the case of high school seniors, if the HSTA strike lasts
less than twenty days, then they still graduate. Their school year will count.
Regardless of how many days the UHPA strike may last, I don't want to be taking
class into the summer. The professors do need a raise, and it's really overdue.
However, I honestly think that the governor is being overwhelmed right now.
Cayetano has the UHPA, HSTA, HGEA, UPW, fire fighter's union all demanding new
contracts of some sort. Even if he wanted to dole out raises, which may not
look like it, the state budget may not have the clout to mollify everyone. Some
unions are going to be left out. Only time will tell which one(s) it will be.
Daniel1978 03/14/01 1:33 PM RE: Strike rage!!
Word on the "Street" is:-If they
strike more than 2 weeks, the semester will be cancelled.-If the semester is
canacelled, we get no credit and no tuition refund.-If we get no tuition
refund, MANY students will file law suits. Which means we'll get some sort of
refund.-If the strike happens less than 2 weeks, teachers may choose to make up
the class hours at the end of the semester. I suppose this depends on the
individual teacher. I'm sure some of them (and some of us) have already
purchased plane tickets.-The teachers REALLY need a raise. Support them and we
can minimize the strike time. (Hopefully)Thats all the info I've got. If anyone
knows anything else...Either way, we'll find out soon.Don't STRESS too
much!!-Dan
TVR 03/14/01 10:07 AM RE: Strike rage!!
Nah, I really don't think that the university
can just take your money and also not give you the credits. My English
professor said that if they go on strike, the number of days that their on
strike will be the number of days that we have to make up. Also, if the strike
is really long and the make up days goes into the summer term then the term
would be pushed back. This is what I'm hearing, but hopefully what your saying
isn't. Because that would be pretty sick and all the students at UH will be
pissed!! Oh well, I got to admit though. This problem is getting to be very
interesting. But, I'm still surprised that the Gov. still has not seen the
importance of having a good college faculty is. If the pay raise doesn't go
through then UH will begin to decline in a downward spiral. My prediction is
that the faculity won't on strike for more then one day. What do you think?

03/13/01 8:28 PM RE:
Strike rage!!
I understand how you feel because I'm worried
very much too. What makes me irritated is that we don't know exactly what's
going on.When students ask the teacher in the class, she says it is much likely
they go on strike. But in another class, the teacher says it won't go long even
if it occurs. Some teachers are not sure about this.I, as a senior student,
this semester is very important. Not only tuition, but credits are more
important. And for me, as an international student, if I have to take one more
extra semester, even though they refund the tuition, I have to spend money for
living and have to think about visa too.I've never had these kind of situation
in my country. So I'm just surprised and worried as well. The governer is
responsible for this. I just wonder how come he does nothing.
sakodash 03/13/01 6:47 PM Strike rage!!
I know this
topic is getting a little old already but I just keep getting angry over it. On
one hand, I'm like YEAH!! we don't have to go to school but on the other hand,
I'm worried what's going to happen to our credits. My sociology teacher had
told us the other day that if they go on strike then we won't get any credits
for this semester and we won't get our tuition back. Granted, I'd rather have
the credits than the tuition but to get neither?!! What's going on here? It
seems that many people don't know what's going on either or at least they're
just not talking about it. Does anybody know what's happening? I guess I
shouldn't really worry about it if no one else seems to be really worrying
about but I just can't help it. I want to know if I can go to first session
summer school and graduate in this lifetime.

I thought that all children can be really
mean at one moment and they can be nice at some times. I tend to forget about this
when I don't have much interactions with children for a while and then I get
shocked everytime I go see my three nephews. They are really bad and they are
mean not only to each other but also to me. I think that children can
accidentally give small physical damage to other kids because they often can't
adjust their physical strength well while playing. The tree nephews, they can
be really aggressive and they often have scraches, bruises, cuts and so on.

the society that is following the norm? so if any change is to occur it should

sakodash 03/14/01 10:16 AM RE: kids can be so mean!!
I used to work in special education classes
and I've never seen kids so mean to each other. I don't know if it had to do
with them being in special education or if a lot of kids are just mean in
general. I remember one time a fifth-grade boy kept teasing one of the other
boys, calling him names and making him cry almost everyday. Then one day during
recess I caught this boy and some of his friends crowded all around the boy
they always tease and hitting him with a stick. The poor boy was crouched down
so low and was just cryig silently. I had to break them up and send them all to
the office. To me that was pretty scary because I just don't understand how
elementary school kids can torture and harass other kids. That never happened
when I was in elementary school!!
charisseo 03/13/01 9:20 PM kids can be so mean!!
today was the first day of my field work for
this one class that i am taking. we were at this site playing soccer with
elementry school children. everything was going well, then i found one of the
boys sitting on the side crying with his head down. when i asked him what was
wrong he hesitated a little then told me that the other children, not in our
group, where calling him names. then as the afternoon moved i noticed that the
children in my group were also calling each other vulgar names. at this point i
was kinda shocked becuase when i never saw kids being so mean toward each
other. i scolded them then i just passed it off as kids fooling around. what
really got to me was when i saw this long, deep scratch on one of the boy's
neck and chest area. when i asked him he hesitated then he told me that his
brother did it to him!?! this totally amazed me becuase with my brothers and
cousins i could not think of a time when any of us would inflict pain on each
other like that. in all though i think that it is the children who should be at
blame. it is the parents! where were they when their sons were fighting?

type of dog $h!t Rage!
Have you ever walked your dog, and gotten
questionable looks from people, like they are thinking "where's your
poop-bag?" All you dog owners should know what I am talking about. That
peer like you're the one who let's their dog do his/her business as they please
and do not pick up after them! Well, every single day I walk my dog, and I
always bring a poop-bag to pick up my doggy's mess. It's very aggravating to
see some people walking their dog and act like someone else should be picking
up after them! Or, even worse, they think just because they have a little 5-10
lb. dog, that their little poop will go unnoticed!!! I'm just fed up with those
owners! One of these days, I'm going to pick up the kukai after them and follow
them home and leave the little present for them in their mailbox for a
"friendly" reminder. ;P

03/17/01 12:03 PM RE: Catholic Rage
Catholicism can be quite tedious. I went to a
private catholic high school, so I know pretty much first hand the pains of
going through the sacraments and what not. For the most part, those that
actually do practice their Catholic faith are forced to adhere those strict
rules. It's a process. Baptism, Sunday school, first communion, confession,
confirmation. Through the process, one is supposedly growing in his faith. He
or she learns more and more about the Lord, the bible, and himself or herself
as well. Catholicism is not for everyone. I know friends who consider
themselves Catholic, but have never step foot in a church in five or six years.
Basically, the strict rules are meant to teach and nurture, not to hinder.
Catholicism wants your child to be Catholic. That's why, unlike some churches,
they baptize babies who can't even comprehend the meaning of faith. In my
opinion, the opposition for your daughter's baptism won't last long.

03/14/01 9:05 AM Catholic Rage
My husband and I want to get our six month old
daughter baptized at my family church. I got the paper work and began reading
the copious instructions. It seems that the church is very strict on the rules
of baptism. The parents must be married by the Catholic church to go through
with this rite of passage. Unfortunately my husband and I were married by a
non-Catholic minister. The instructions do say that the church will make
allowances for couples who weren't married by the Catholic church but it seems
difficult. Plus the Godparents must submit a form filled out by their Catholic
priest or their minister testifying to the fact that they go to church
regularly and are worthy of being Godparents.I understand that baptising your
child should not be entered into lighly but it seems like all these things are
a bunch of red tape.I really want my daughter to be baptized at that church
because that is where I was baptized, got my first commuion and confirmation.
However it might be out of the question if they don't recognize my husband's
and my marriage.
Number11BUS 03/18/01 2:55 PM RE: Telephone survey rage
Hello Snowhawaii & Meow24You are both
getting really smart really quick. Most survey folks you can so, "No, I'm
not interested." and "No, you may not call me back." the very
same works very well for credit card offers, phone card offers, insurance
offers, book sellers, video sellers, and political surveys. You have a personal
right to your phone service without the hassel of being required to engage in
calls you do not wish to accept. Also, at any time during such a call, if you
decide you no longer wish to listen and/or participate...you have every right
to say, "I wish to end this now. No, you may not call me back." You
do not have to be extra polite with "I'm sorry[ies]." The person on
the other end of the line is sitting there with a "book" of return
phrases to rope you in with "but, don't you like saving money? ...having
better service? helping so-and-so." They are doing their job as it was
outlined for them, to tug at our civil responsibility with stock phrases
designed to may you feel guilty. Be firm, be civil, but remember you do not
have to take an unwanted call.Cheers (^_^)Number11BUS't

ah~ don't u just hate it when u answer the phone
and these people just start w/ the questions w/o asking a permission first?!i
used to be shy, so just went along w/ the survey, but after few years of doing
it, i really got tired of it. so what i do now is, i just tell them i was on my
way out or just hang up the phone if they preceed w/ the questions w/o asking
if i have time to do it.i know it sounds mean, but they make me be this way.
they have no respect for people they call for their survey. so i decided not to
be nice either.plus there are a lot of fraud calls asking for birthdates, soc.
security numbers, and so on. i just tell them i will contact them if i have any
problem w/ my phone or tv companies, but as i hang up the phone, i worry about
others who might give out info. on the phone to these frauds. NEVER GIVE ANY
INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE! even if they say they are from your company. you

survey rage
I got a phonecall from a telecommunication
service or something on Monday afternoon. As soon as I answered the phone, the
woman started talking and asking me questions. I thought it's just a copuple of
questions. But she never stopped. The questions were about how much I'm
familiar with major telephone companies like "Do you think Sprint has a
cell-phone service?" Those questions are referd to each telephone
companies; GTE, At&T, sprint, Vrizon. I'm not from here so that I'm not
familiar with those stuff. All I could say is "I don't know." And then
I told her that I'm from a different country, so I don't think I can contribute
to this survey. But the woman said that's o.k., and kept asking me questions. It
was already 15minutes or so passed. But still she kept asking me questions.I
was really tired becasue I had an exam and I didn't sleep the previous night,
so I was going to take a nap. But she didn't seem to let me go. So I asked her
how many more questions she got. And she said "I don't know." It made
me upset. I think I was nice to answer to all her questions, but I'm not that
nice to answer the endless questions! I told her I cannot do this for an hour,
and she said then she can call me back some other times. I said O.K., and she
hung up without thank you.I know this is her job, and this is the mean to make
her living. But I have my own life too. She'll never know how much I'm tired or
other things. But she should keep her mind that she is violating somebody's
precious time.I got another telephone survey yesterday afternoon too. Before the
guy was going to ask me questions, I told him I had to go to the class. Then he
asked me if he could call me back later, and I said NO!!

I agree totally with you. I hate when lazy
people leave their mess and you have to clean it up. It happens at my work
place too. I work in an office where people eat and leave their mess right
where you need to xerox, fax or use the computer. I get so tired of leaving
nice little notes like "pleas throw away all trash." What is so hard
to put your wrappers in the garbage is beyond me.

Don't you just hate it when you work with
people that are so lazy. This incident happens many times at work but he still
hasn't changed. At my working place, there is usually two shifts that work in a
day. The morning shifts usually does there own thing but by the end of their
shift they suppose to do help out and set up the night crew. There not just
suppose to leave their stuff in a miss and expect the night crew to clean in
up. Ok, this wasn't what I was getting mad about, but he does do this once in
awhile. But, what really gets me upset is that he always doesn't help and set
up the night crew. He give some BS excuse that he was busy or something. But,
really he is just cruizing and talking story. Then when he has to work the
evening shift then he gets mad if someone does that to him. I don't think that
this is right and I feel that everyone should be responsible to finish their
work especially when they have alot of time to do it in.

SWR#8: Unthankful People
It is really sad that some of us adults who
should be a role model to the children cannot even make it to the bottom line of
courtesy. I was thinking why those people did not say "Thank you" to
you after you had been providing friendliness and a respect to them. They might
have taken you as a person who works to serve food at the place where the party
was held? That's what I could think of how some people can be rude to you, but
even if that was the case, we all should say at least thank you to everyone who
did nice things to us. I am sorry to be rude to make a comment about these
people at the party because they may not be your family or relatives, but they
could be friends of your family. I feel sorry , too, that it seems our value of
being courteous to others has been taken less important as it used to be.
skyblue 03/14/01 12:49 PM SWR#8: Unthankful People
I had to serve Hawaiian food for my cousins'
first birthday luau for about one and a half hour straight. So I got a chance
to observe and talk to family, friends, and strangers. I made sure that I
smiled, said Hi!, periodically asked, "Would you like some lomi salmon?"
and went out of my way to accommodate their needs. In several instances, some
people were carrying two plates so since their hands were full, I took the
initiative to grab two separate small cups each of lomi salmon and poi. Those
people said, "Thank you!" But what really caught me by surprise were
the adults (strangers) that were carrying one plate. I noticed these people
(carrying only one plate) would shove a plate in front of my face without
expressing a word of appreciation or thank you! No utter, no sound, no beep! If
I don't say thank you, I feel funny or my parents and the rest of my family
would get after me. I amazed how some people have lost it or were not taught
the courtesy of saying please and thank you! What happened to the social etiquette
that has been taught and reinforced by our parents and elders? Share with me
your views or opinions!

Alright, You guys will like this one. Right
after our class was over on monday, I started to hurry home. I was walking down
university ave. on the Diamond Head side of the road. I saw a car stopped at a
red light in the center lane. This car had a 7-11 big gulp on the roof. I tried
to motion to the passangers to signal them about the soon to be spilled
beverage on their roof. The paggangers saw me and just gave me the
"Shaka" sign. I was thinking that these peoiple thought that I was
nuts and were just humoring me. I thought to my self about how I'd feel if it
were a soda about to spill on my car. I decided to rescue their car from this
situation. I began to cross the street still trying to motion the passangers to
look on their roof. They kept giving me the shaka sign. Idiots! Finally I got
to their car and the passanger was just loking at me stupidly. I reach up and
try to get the soda off this ugly car'roof. at first I thought it was very
heavy, then I realized it was stuck! The passenger was giving me the shaka sign
while laughing! They nailed the cup to the roof! Jerks! But it WAS funny. I
felt like a bloody IDIOT!!! but I was still laughing....So the moral of the
story is: If you see a car with a drink on its roof near UH, DON'T HELP
THEM!!!!!Ha!
Number11BUS 03/18/01 3:39 PM RE: govenor rage (from other people)
Hello everyone!Yep, the Gov is not being
talked about very lovingly just now. You may wish to consider, the State of
Hawaii is responsible for creating laws for public policy and then funding the
policy. You may wish to recall that the Democrats in Hawaii are different from
mainland Democrats. However, both Parties are backed by MACHINES that want
their guy elected. Often times it is then to help their guys stay in office and
fund pet projects. We are swayed to vote in the direction of the MACHINE
propaganda. This makes us think we have more power in our vote and happens to
be there. Education--we've known the education is Hawaii is 50% public and 50%
private for a long long time. But the taxes for the payment of the education
comes from all of us, all 1,200,000 of us. So, why is it that private education
can afford to have good teachers, professors and supplies and courses? Because
the private sectors pays for it. All of us pay for the public schools and the
University of Hawaii. All of us. If the Gov says he can't pay the bills with
the taxes he has control over, then his budget needs to be examined. The money
is there--for the public, not the cronies. We can correct the problem of the
Gov in the next election. We need to concentrate on staying ture to our views
about education. If it is important, we must stand together--K-1 and
University. If it is not so important to us--then we will be getting exactly
what we ask for--divided loyalities. The MACHINE and the Gov promised education
was important, however, they don't walk the talk. The results in sub-standard
education for the public sector is that the State of Hawaii will have plenty of
undereducatied people to fill the positions of the service industry, tourist
industry...but the professions will continue to be manned [or womaned] by the
private sector that goes away to school and comes back to run the PLANTATION
the same old way. If you want to be a part of the professional group, if you
want to be increasing your earing capacity, if you want to be able to own a
home, pay your rent, feed yourself and your children and send them to higher
education, you have an opportunity to voice that desire now. E-mail a
Representative or a Senator, both locally at the State level and even at the
Federal level. You can get their e-mail on the web. A Hearing can be initated
if the people want it. That's what the HOUSE and SENATE can do. We don't have
to wait to see what the Gov is going to do. We can ask our elected officials to
do something now. Accountability, credibility, ethics--it's overdue. The time
you spend on this message board is required in some respects. The time you
spend on an e-mail to an elected representative can carry more weight in you
civic community. Give it a chance and turn up the heat on all those other
people you elected besides the Gov.Cheers (^_^)Number11BUS

Personally, Ben Cayetano was not my pick in
the governor race and he's done many things that I haven't supported. He has
lied and he has not kept his promises, which has lead to this proposal of the
teacher strike. Although, I totally disagree with the decisions that the
Governor is making, as well as him criticizing professors and such, I do not
agree with the racial remarks made by others as well. Retaliating by using
racial slurs is just as wrong. We should be the better person and not stoop
down to such a level. Where will criticizing each other get us...no where.
darell 03/18/01 2:29 AM RE: govenor rage (from other people)
I totally agree with you on this. Every since
Cayetano was elected, the entire state started going downhill. I know a lot of
people that have moved from Hawaii to the mainland because the cost of living
is so high and that they were not getting paid enough. In terms of school, he
placed a great emphasis on the quality of education that Hawaii's students get
but in actuality, it seems like education wasn't even an issue to him after
being elected. A lot of the public school students have to fundraise a lot in
order to get supplies for their class. I don't think that's right because the
state should be able to provide what a students in order to uplift the quality
of education that Hawaii's students thus increasing the quality and excellence
of education that they carry on in the future.

03/16/01 10:56 PM RE:
govenor rage (from other people)
This whole thing with Ben and the teachers is
just a piece of what he has done to the people who call Hawaii their home. How
would you feel if one day after working for the state and they laid your
husband, mother, father and brother all off within weeks of each other. How
would you feel if the businesses you worked for all decided to up and leave,
because they felt Hawaii was too high of a price tag to pay. If you did not
have these things happen to you then you cannot begin to understand the
animosity locals feel here in Hawaii, when they elected Ben into office. He got
budgets so bad that people had to move in order to make it. Businesses closed
down because it was to expensive to do business in Hawaii. If that was not
enough he cut the school budgets that now all of us that do have children, have
to buy things like construction paper, white outs for the kids and some of us
even have to buy books for the children plus the tons of fund raisers to raise
money for each class rooms so the teachers can buy school supplies and a little
extra for the students in that class. Look around and if you see any new
economy looking towards Hawaii. I don't think so. All you see is recession
marked everywhere.

i also hate cayetano, and not because of his

many others don't like him simply because he is an arrogant person who is only

about him all i like. i have never supported his campaign because it is filled
with lies and ignorance. he claims, over and over and over again that he is the
'education' governor. yeah right! if he was so concerned with our education, he
wouldn't be criticizing our teachers and professors and would make an honest
effort to reach a compromise. nothing has changed. he holds grudges and never
looks for what will help the community. he needs to wake up! the students
should be the top priority, not his own agenda!!

I'm sorry but I am one of the people who
really, really dislike Ben. I never wanted him to be voted in the first place, and
when he like reelected, I knew we were in for trouble. I am not really into
politics myself but when the politics starts to affect your own life, like when
it begins to involve yourself or your family or friends, then it becomes fairly
personal.During Cayetano's first term, like all politicians I guess, they make
promises and promises and my father was in the Carpenter's union and even then,
many jobs were cut due to Cayetano's decision. I think there was the rapid
transit system, and other construction jobs that just got ignored or rejected
by him. and now it is about the teachers.I think everyone agrees that teachers
are one of the most important people in our lives. They were our role models
when we were kids and continue to be that way and isn't it shameful that they
get paid less than most people? They should be the ones to get paid more!Ben
really has serious issues and I'm sure he doens't really give a shit about
education. It always has been that way, and sometimes i want bad things to
happen to him. I really hate him!!!
carlisle 03/14/01 10:11 PM govenor rage (from other people)
The whole teacher strike issue has brought on
a lot of dislike towards Ben Cayetano. Maybe he is doing the best thing, or
maybe he is going at it, all in the wrong way. Most of the people out there
feel that he is going about it all the wrong way. There are people that I now
that make racial remarks about him, and wished that they had never voted for
him in the last election. Some are saying, that he does not care about the
teachers or the students, because he is on his last term in office, and will
not be re-elected. I feel that there are so many misconceptions about him and
the teachers strike. Sometimes there are things in the news that I hear about
the strike that makes me just want to through a glass cup at the television. I
not one for politics so I really do not know what the govenor had done for us.
Maybe he had done some good, but lately he only seems to be doing, some wrong.
It is funny how people get so upset at a person, that the only thing that comes
out of their mouth are racial slurs, and remarks. I have been a lot of those
things coming out of people's mounth since this whole teachers strike came out.

03/18/01 10:55 PM RE: doctor rage
I definately feel you on this one, 'cause
everything is so operational nowadays. It's all in the system, when doctors are
in school, they don't learn how to make people feel comfortable, they learn how
to perform the operation. Everything they do is so mechanical, and they are
taught how to treat people in the best way. As a result, these traits are based
on the individual, and that is very scary. Doctors need to be taught how to
comfort a patient, because this is not inborn, and we need this security when
we are in a hospital. A hospital is a very scary place, with all the knifes and
needles, and when the doctors don't know how to be personal, and make you feel
at home, everything can feel pretty scary.

my sister had a muscle biopsy two days ago.
she asked me if i could go w/ her, so i rushed to the doctor's office as soon
as i finished my exam that day. my sis told me that the doctor was gonna make a
very small incision on her thigh and take out a little piece of muscle to do
some tests. so i figured it won't be so bad.however, when the doctor started w/
the procedure, he cut about 3 inches and cut out chunk of muscle out from her
thigh. i was getting really nauseous and mad. i asked the doc. if it was ok to
cut out so much muscle and he said it was very small piece and that she will be
okay. but it was really big chunk of muscle to my sis and me (it was little
less than half inch in diameter).other thing i got mad was that my sis had no
idea that he was going to make such an long incision on her thigh. she actually
thought he was gonna use a big needle to take out some muscle. when i asked her
if she asked him about the procedure, she said he just told her that it was a
very simple procedure and that she didn't need to worried about anything. i
can't believe that she didn't ask any further questions, but i can't also
believe that the doctor didn't explain the whole procedure clearly to her.now
she had 15 stitches on her thigh. of course my parents were outrageous when
they saw it the next day. =(

shouldn't they have the new dates set up already? Is it my fault that I didn't
know that the new dates come out on Tuesday and they fill up so fast? She kept
on saying come on Tuesday, Tuesday, and I was like what about Tuesday? She just
kept on saying Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday, each time getting louder and louder
and her tone of voice becoming more irritated and irritated each time. Of
course, that made me mad, so I said, fine and I walked out. I was grumbling
about her and I'm sure she was grumbling about me too. But I just think she
should have explained better. ONly later i was able to figure out what she
meant, when she said Tuesday. She wanted me to come back on Tuesday and sign up
for it. But I think they need to fix that system because everytime, each time i
go i come back without anything. I wanted to go to that stupid grad session
since last semester, and i was never able to get the date! URGH!!!!

I thought that only people who knew well
about computers could work at the labs. And we can get help from themwhenever
we have some problems. However, from reading your experience, it sounds like
they don't help us at all. I heard from a classmate that people in other
computer lab didn't help her much. She said that one person working there said
he couldn't help because he was not supposed to. I was surprised because I
did't think she asked him for some advanced tecnical skills or very complicated
questions, but he didn't offer any help. I wonder if there is any policy that
restricts their amount of help they can give to students. Or like you wrote,
they just didn't want to take their times.
oshale 03/15/01 12:20 PM computer room rage
I don't know if I am the only person who
feels like this but I really think the computer room in sinclair sucks!!!The
people here know nothing about the computer. When i have a problem with
something, and I ask for help, they are all so busy relaying it to the other
person. I don't know because they don't know anything about the computer or
they are just lazy. Whatever the reason, all of them can't seem to help me with
any my question. When they work in the computer room, i think they should at
least keep one person who is familiar or well knowledged about the computer.
All they seem to say is I don't know , I don't know. They do not want to be
bothered i think. They rather speak among themselves and look at the computer
than do their job. And all of them are Chinese. Not that I have anything
against it but why is this computer room all chinese people? They get so noisy
and loud. It's like they all bring their friends here to get paid to socialize.
I think the staff should be more selective when they get hired.

I'm sorry to hear that all the grad sessions
seem to be filling up so quickly. It seemed that way when I went to a grad
session also, but then again when I went there wasn't an impending strike and
stress to add on top of that. I agree with you that a couple of advisors are
terrible, and why they even get into that kind of job if you are going to be
like that in the first place is dumb to me. I remember I had to see an advisor
and I had to wait an hour and a half just to ask them one question! And I told
the person at the desk that I had one question and it was a "yes" or
"no" question too so it would be fast. But the girl said she couldn't
fit me in. They are so busy for some reason, and that was at the beginning of
this semester so I can imagine what it is like now over there. Another time I
had to see an advisor they had to go to a meeting after, so they allotted an
hour and a half to see people, but the person at the desk said the advisors
were only going to see 12-15 people! Alot of people had been turned away, I
felt sorry for them. And it was a miracle that the advisors were actually
working fast and got through with everyone on time. Just goes to show that with
the right state of mind, things can get done in a good amount of time. It is
best to call if you want to see an advisor and make an appointment, but for the
grad session, I guess as you know you should go as early as possible.
Goodluck!!

However, reading your comments, I could notice that it isnft only I that I
have met with such troubles. Something problem has been usually happening to
between students and this university. Do we have to give this up, regarding it
as a natural thing? Or does something have to be done to improve such
dysfunction system?
Number11BUS 03/18/01 3:16 PM RE: grad session/advisor rage
Hello kathyhirokane,Have you ever noticed,
often times, there is a prevailing attitude in the university staffing
positions, as well as the professors themselves, that this university would be
a really great place to work if it "wasn't for the students." Boy,
how those students really mess things up. They [the students] want questions
asked, forms signed, classes that are offered at reasonable hours, checks on
grades and advising on goldenrods and clear desimination of information. Now
why might we [the students] have a problem with all this? We don't want to be
about to graduate and then find out we have "one more elective" we
have to take, or that course that was approved as an exchange course "will
not count toward your [major]or [degree]." I know there is the pesky
little problem of Hawaii Hall being re-constructed to add to the general
confusion, however, many students are way to busy just keeping up the the
requirements of being students to pass by a sign that an office has moved, a
deadline is approaching, while running into a constant "this office is
closed /for lunch/ this week/ after 3:30 pm/ for renovation/ [add another one
here]. By appointment only--only if you can make the appointment for the SAME
DAY? or if you can make the appointment in PERSON with identification, with all
the papers you didn't know you needed until you got to the appointment? Well,
welcome to the university that really resided beneath the one you thought was
here. All universities would run soooooo smoooothly, "if it wasn't for the
STUDENTS" See the irony in that? Keep you spirits up. See the humor when
you can. Hope you all get your paperwork completed and graduate timely. Cheers

I remember when I signed up for a grad
session. I went to the office at Keller and dropped off the goldenrod and
everything but then I aske d to sign up for a grad session and the guy told me
that I had to call or come back tomorrow to sign up for it because it was
scheduled on the day you come in. The next day, I called to sign up thinking
that I would get into a session that very day but they told me that the next
available session was in 2 or 3 weeks. I couldn't believe it, I had the
impression that those grad sessions were scheduled like the guy said they were.
If I knew how it worked I wouldn't have procrastinated. I was so mad. It just
did not make sense to tell me to call tomorrow to sign up for it when they
could have easily let me sign up for it on the day I dropped off the papers.
Where is the logic in that? I wish they were more informative than that. They
need to let everybody know by any means about the procedure of whatever service
they are providing.

Pushy People
I agree with you that the donation should be
made voluntarily. If there are people who talk a person into donating money,
they are defeating a whole purpose of donation. I can understand your father is
a very good person and saying no to someone who is asking him for something, it
was a donation this time, seems very cruel thing for him to do. I can't believe
that there is people who presume on others' good nature and make them donate
everything. The Charity is a good thing that helps somebody who needs it, and
at the same time it makes a person who gives a helping hand to those in need
feel good about him or herself by achiving a sense of doing something for
others. But the way those people take advantage of others' good spirit and make
them give away whatever they have should be banned. It should absolutely not be
that way.

This topic is about people who sell things
and always push people into buying something they either don't need or don't
want. My dad is one of those people who can't say no to people who sell things.
Most recently though he's been bombarded with calls from charities because he
donated to one of them, I guess somehow other charities found out and got a
hold of his number. My father will sit there and listen to them spout on and on
and on about their charity and why he should donate some money...even five
dollars, any change he has, they'll take anything. And after a couple minutes,
instead of saying I can't right now, or simply I can't he says ok and donates
some money to them. I guess I get angry because these people take advantage of
people like my father, and they know it too! I know that the people who call
are just trying to do their job or something, but they shouldn't push people
into buying things, especially when a person doesn't have money to donate in
the first place. Well, he's learning, now he can say no thanks or something to
that regard and hang up the phone before they keep talking and eventually
persuade him to donate something.

I understand exactly how you feel. I wonder
why there are some people get bitten by mosquitoes more often than others. I
also hate to be awakened by buzzing sounds or itchy feelings from mosquitoes
too. Maybe you can use a traditional mosquito repellant...a green spiral thing
before you take a nap. I can't believe that a very tiny insect can perfectlly
destroy our peaceful moment!! so we have to fight with it. If you don't like
smell of the repellant or it's too much trouble to prepare it every time you go
to the bed, you can cover up yourself with a very thin fabric like paleo(sorry,
I'm not sure about spelling) and that may help you. I want to know if there is
some better way to deal with this problem.

It seems that the mosquitoes bite me more
than they do to anybody else. When I had been taking a nap today, I had an itch
on my thigh and it woke me. Soon, I found that there was a mosquito in my room
because it was whining around my ear. I hate to be disturbed when I am
sleeping. It was warm enough during the day today, but I had to cover myself
with a blanket so that the mosquito wouldn't bite me anymore. Then about 30
minutes later, I was awakened again by another itch on my cheek. I couldn't go
back to sleep anymore since it disturbed me too often already. I was so mad. I
hate mosquitoes. But I hate the roach more, especially when it scares me by
crawling on my foot while I am sleeping.

I feel sorry for you! Some guys just don't
get subtle messages after you've shown no interest in dancing with him anymore.
If a guy asks me to dance and I'm not interested in dancing with him at all, I
will usually tell him, " No thank you! I don't want to dance!" If he
continues to be persistent, I'll say, "No thank you! I'm not
interested!" Several times, I had to walk away to make him understand my
message clearly! I think if you are consistent in what you say and you say
those words with confidence, I can guarantee you that the guy will get the
message. However, if he doesn't speak English, then I think that you have to
use body language to convey to the guy that you don't want to dance with him!

Soooo.....Can I have your number? Can I have your

the situation you're in. But it's totally funny how most (95%) of the time it's
a guy doing it. When I'm with a guy and he does that to a girl, I get totally
ashamed to be with him. People like that are a disgrace to the male sex. Do
they think you'll give in? That you're playing hard to get? I don't know. I
don't understand it. Was it the way he was raised? Sigh. I don't know. When I

ddestrad 03/18/01 5:32 PM RE: Going Out Rage
I can relate to your persistant guy story
very much so, I find it really annoying when guys do that. I had an annoying persistant
guy follow me around all of saturday and saturday night. I met this guy at
Bedrocks on thursday night and i talked to him for like 20 minutes, just being
nice, not attracted to him or anything. Well i go to the block party up at
Murphys near the Aloha towers. It was probably one of the most fun block
parties i have been to in a while. Other than 90% of the guys being military
and hitting on everything that walks past, which was the pretty annoying part.
Well to get to the point, the guy from thursday nigth was there and he followed
me around from 3-like 10 at night. He kept asking me to go out with him that
night and asking for my number, i didn't want to be rude adn say leave me alone
of i'm not attracted to you so i just told him i wasn't interested in hanging
out and than i lied and said i had a boyfriend. Than his friend kept following
me too so i had to say the same thing to him, throughout the whole night
everywhere i walked he was there, and he kept yelling my name out and trying to
get me to come over and talk to him. It really bugged me exspecially becasue he
kept following around my friends and asking them about me too.

crazy!! I try to be polite and dance with whoever asks me to dance (no matter

let me get off of the dance floor. Well, I was dancing with one guy who just
didn't know how to dance and he was just throwing me off so at the end of the
dance I told him "thank you" and tried to get off. I don't know if he
doesn't speak english or what but he just pulled me back to dance as I was
walking off so I got pissed off and to show my anger I took the lead in the
dance. I would think he got the picture but he tried to make me dance again
after that dance and I just said I had to go to the bathroom. After that he
asked me to dance later in the night and I told him "no" but he tried
to pull me on anyways so I just shoved my beer bottle in his face to show him
no just in case he doesn't speak english. By the way, I wasn't planning on
drinking that night but I got so irritated by all of those guys that I had to
have a few beers and then all was good

Rage
My friend is in town because she is helping
some friends plan a funeral and she asked to borrow my car during her stay here
because I don't usually use my car unless I have to, I prefer not to drive. I
was fine with it because the family is going through a hard time and they all
flew in from the mainland so they want to cut back on costs so I just didn't
think too deeply into it anyways. It turns out that my family needs the car
this weekend anyways but they feel that she was out of line for asking this of
me. I would normally do anything I could for my friends so I wouldn't have a
problem but is this taking advantage. I figured that it's just a mainland thing
to be cheap and ask a lot out of people without giving much in return so I just
got used to it unless I actually have the time to confront it. Am I out of line
in assuming this? Is this something that would be considered acceptable on the
mainland to just vacation and ask their friend to borrow the car or has my
friend just gotten more selfish over the years? Pretty much all of the haole
people I've dealt with have been like this (including my family) so I just
wondered if that't the style they're raised in or do I just meet the
exceptions. I'm wondering this because this is one of my best friends and I'm
wondering if it's just another culture clash or if I should bring it up to her.

dear silverfox, why did you tell your friend
that she could not wear a white wedding dress and that a priest would not marry
her in one??? is that supposed to imply that just because she has children that
she cannot wear a white wedding dress? a wedding is like, one of the most
important events in a person's life, and if she wants to wear white, let her.
it is her day! and if you don't want to sew the dress, then don't sew it. that
is her responsibility - but she probably thought that you as a friend would be
happy to do it for her. anyways...dont tell her not to wear white. that is just
mean.
sakodash 03/17/01 9:57 PM RE: Wedding Rage
Wow, that's some friend you have. I think
your friend has no right getting mad at you especially since you're the one
who's sewing her dress plus all her bridesmaids dresses!! She should just be
grateful that you're doing all this for her and saving her all this money that
obviously she does not have. I've never had to plan a wedding so I don't know
how long all this takes but I think that she should talk everything over with
her fiancee AND with you. I hope this wedding turns out okay!! Good luck to you

I know I should not rage about weddings and
they should be the happiest time of someone's life. EEEK wrong again. My
girlfriend just got engaged and she is in this wedding bliss that is driving me
crazy. All she ever talks about is wedding plans that she has no money for.
Everytime, she see's me she is going on about the wedding which she has not
really discussed with the groom. I tried to sit her down to make her think
rational about this big expensive wedding she wants to have. But really got me
is she wants me to make her wedding dress and the color she wants is white. I
told her you already have two kids you should where ivory or champagne not
white, especially if you are getting married in church. Because no priest is
going to marry you in a full length wedding gown in white. On top of that she
has no concept that wedding plans as elaborate as hers takes time to plan and
work out the details, especially if I have to do all the sewing and setting up
of the hall.I don't mind sewing what I do mind is that she wants this done by
June of this year for next year. I said this is impossible. To sew a wedding
dress as elaborate as she wants it with full head dress and all the maid of
honor, bridesmaid dresses this is impossible. I finally had to take long deep
breath and say, if I were you I would look at all my options before settling on
just this option. She got mad at me and walked away. Inside I was thinking to
myself better for me to tell you the truth then for someone else to tell you
this wedding plans is way beyond your budget and you are rushing into something
that is not going to happen until the year 2002 of October.

03/19/01 1:11 AM RE: Copy machine

Yes, we definitely need more copy machines in
the library. I've seen some people just keep copying their stuff after they
looked there was a person waiting to use the machine next. There is a sign says
less than 10 copies if there is a line, but those people don't seem to be cared
about it. Some people say sorry after making many copies, so that's OK, but I
hope there are more copy machines installed in the campus. My stragegy for not
getting stressed by waiting in line to make copies is that I go to the library
in the afternoon. It seems that the library is much less crowded, say, afere 2
or 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and there are usually more than one copy machine
is available. So if you are taking a class that ends in the afternoon, I
recommend you to go to the library to make a copy after the class is over.
Hopefully, this would reduce your stress.

03/18/01 11:00 PM RE: Copy machine rage
I use to hate the semesters when I had to go
to sinclaire and copy notes. The notes were not short they were long and could
easily cost me five bucks everytime I had to copy notes. What I hated more than
the copy machines was when the notes were already being used. There were times
when I went three times in one day and then the following day just to get the
notes. I did not have time to wait around for the person to finish with the
notes and when there is a lot of people in that class all wanting the notes,
well it just completely sucked. This also happened to me when a teacher made us
watch videos at the library. I wish teachers would put their notes on the
internet. It is much easier to deal with.
charisseo 03/17/01 10:45 PM RE: Copy machine rage

I hope that more copy machines in Sinclair
library will be available to us. There are only four machines on the ground
floor and always I have to wait to use one of them. Yesterday, I went there to
make photocopies for lecture notes. I wanted to make only three or four pages
but I had to wait for like ten minutes (it was probably less than 10 minutes,
but I felt it was more than that). A person before me was making photocopies
like at least 50 pages and it seemed me taking forever. She didn't seem to care
about other people who also need to use the machine. I know that she had to do
this because she was also photocopying some lecture notes checked out at the
circulation desk. I was frustrated at not her but at this situation. There are
many people need the copy machine since we can't bring theose lecture note
files from the library but it's so frustrating that there are only four
machines.

03/17/01 4:46 PM Bus
rage...again
I haven’t really had any episodes of rage
this past week except for maybe again...bus rage. The bus was really crowded
and I was one of those people trying to stand behind that yellow line that they
have in the front of the bus. I was already a little grumpy because I don’t
like when the bus is crowded like that and I was tired. We stopped at a couple
bus stops and a few people left, so there was room for people to move. People
are supposed to keep moving to the back since there’s more people trying to
come onto the bus, but as usual there's always certain people who just stay
put. That’s why I got upset. This man had a lot of space behind so he could
move back, but did he move? At first, I thought he was going to move because he
looked to the front and could see more people coming on to the bus. Then he
looked back to see the big space he could move in to. He kept looking back and
forth like “Should I move or shouldn’t I move?” He ended up staying in the same
spot blocking the aisle! I was so upset because people were coming onto the bus
and trying to squeeze in, and there was no doubt that he knew he was blocking
the way, but didn’t move one inch! I was so upset, I took a deep breath, lifted
my heavy back-pack up in the air so I wouldn’t hit anyone with it, mouthed a not-so-good
word, and somehow maneuvered my body and bag to pass him. I think people could
tell (and the man) that I was mad because I could feel a frown on my face and I
probably looked mean with my dark sunglasses on. After a second or two when I
got into a place where there was a bit more room, I calmed down. I could tell
other people were a bit upset at the man too because they were looking at him
like “Aren’t you going to move,” so I didn’t feel that guilty about getting
upset. Yet, I did feel a little guilty because even though I just ‘mouthed’ an
expletive, I felt like I should have been able to control that part.

this is such a sad story.. i know that i
would be extremely mad at my bank and the person who withdraw money from my
account if it happened to me. i really feel sorry for your friend. i really
hope the police can arrest that person. and for the bank, i also think that
they should have done more to help your friend. if they can go through little
trouble of looking into the security camera, they should have that person taped
in there. shouldn't they take better care of their customers? i mean, why do
they keep the security camera all over the place if they are not gonna use it??
are they telling us that they just need them to catch those that come into bank
and rub the bank on the spot???i really wanna know what bank this is and if im
w/ that bank, i really want to switch to another bank. we should really look
into banks services and what they offer to their customers before we open an
account.
charisseo 03/20/01 2:56 PM RE: bad people !
hello, from what i hear from people on the
mainland, it is easy to get pin numbers. if you know enough about a person you
can get their pin. for example a person could say i forgot my pin. then the
bank or whoever would ask them another question. what's you SS# or mother's
madian name. as for hawaii i heard of people that had their SS# stolen by
someone on the mainland. the person who stole it and got arrested and stuff. so
when these people were going through he hiring process it took longer than
expected because they had a criminal record. some people huh? well have a good
week .. and see you later if you aren't too stinky..

Hey charisse:)---Well, what can I possibly
say to this one??? I don''t know how one could get another's pin code. That
other person must have either been close to her, or watching her. But still,
how did that other person get a hold of her card?? I don't know what the bank
could do in those situations, but you seemed to have made a point that the bank
is truly not friendly. I have to agree:( The bank I suppose, just wants our
money. Don't ya think?? Well, I think that they are totally out there to invest
our money for their own fortune. I cannot believe them. And to think that we
think the bank is a safe place to keep our money. I guess we're wrong. Well, at
least she has a sweet friend like you to be there for her. I think your
presence is enough to get her through this. By the way, you can talk to me you
know.... I am a really nice guy... I think :)

03/18/01 11:10 AM RE:

I agree with you. The bank could've done
something for her. This story is kinda scary. Is that so easy to withdraw money
from somebody's account? Isn't it the bank's fault that didn't check the ID
when somebody withdraw money with pin number? My mother was working for a bank
in Japan before. She told me the bank is always taping with hidden cameras, so
they can investigate how the person in question looks and so forth. So I think
the bank could help her or at least explain how it works. We trust the bank and
deposit money, so the bank must be responsible for security. I think that bank
your friend was using is too irresponsible.
charisseo 03/17/01 10:35 PM bad people !
this is how it goes, my friend on the
mainland had some banking problems. she wrote some checks the they started
getting notices that her checks wre bouncing. when she wne to the bank it said
that she had no money left???? it turned out that someone had gotten a hold of
her pin number and was withdrawing money from her accout. when she talked to
the bank they said that there was nothing they could do and that the money was
gone. she filed a police report and an investigation is being done. the one
thing that bothered me is that the bank offered her very little help. they
basically reffered her to the police. when i talked to my friend she felt fo
helpless with the situation. in my opinion i felt that the bank should have
offered her more support and resources to help. instead of her leaving her left
helpless.

was good enough but for her it wasn't. She was right though, that $5 was worth
it!! My nose was saved!! :)
darell 03/18/01 2:34 AM sickness rage
I caught a cold this week and it really hit
me on Wednesday and Thursday. I was getting chills and a fever at the same
time. This was very irritating!! Also I had to stay home from classes and work
because I didn't feel like getting out of bed and going anywhere. My mom had to
force me to go to the doctor's. My whole body just felt like crap. I also had
to missed work--there goes my paycheck this week! Anyways, I'm doing better now
still have a little bit of residue from being sick but I am now able to do
things.
gemini-gal 03/18/01 11:57 PM RE: no money rage!
I have been going through the same thing too.
I need to budget my money so that I have enough to pay my bills, buy food, and
have some left over until my next payday. It's hard to manage finances even
when I don't have a lot! Don't you find it odd that it's always when you don't
have money, you need it the most? Yes, we have all been there and it totally
sucks! And when you do have money, you really don't have to spend it on
anything. I totally relate to your medication story. I thought my pills would
only cost $5 but I ended up paying $32.00 because they weren't covered by my
insurance plan. That meant less money for me! Despite our financial problems, I
think you and I survived! It's hard to live paycheck to paycheck but that's
reality. Just hang in there and keep managing those finances. Make sure you
prioritize your money for things that are of necessity. Good luck!

03/18/01 4:01 PM no money rage!
i am totally poor! 1. i need to get a loan
for school, and since bank of hawaii (bastards) don't offer student loans, i
needed to open an account with the UH credit union. so, there went half my
paycheck, since i had to open a savings and checking account ($100 in savings,
$15 for checking). 2. i went to pick up medication at longs and discovered that
my insurance had expired. so instead of paying $10, i ended up paying $32 (i
only had $72 left from my paycheck, so now i was down to $30). 3. i had an
eye-doctor appointment, which, since i no longer have insurance, would cost
$64. i obviously had to cancel. i am very blind and i really need to see the
doctor!! 4. now i have absolutely no money! i survived that week! but i'm still
broke. i have no money in my wallet and only $48 left in my old bank of hawaii
account. how sad!! and i don't get paid until tuesday. i'm suprised that i
could even feed myself for this week! i need money!

rage!
on saturday, my friends and i went to the st.
patricks day block party, and after that we went to aloha towers to gordon
bierch's to chill out and eat desserts. we were told that we had to wait for a
table, so we did. then we were seated. when the waitress came over, we asked
her if we could see the dessert menu, since that's all we wanted to get. then
she gives us this look like, what? she tells us that the table we were at were
for people who were going to eat dinner. we asked if it was a problem, if we
only ordered dessert. she looked at us and said, 'well, i don't know' and gave
us this weird look. finally, she was like, ok, i guess you can stay, after
staring at us for a while, like that would make us change our minds or
something. i was so pissed. for one thing, there was no sign saying that only
people eating dinner could be seated, and we had a feeling that she just wanted
to get a bigger tip out of it. plus, all the people sitting around us were NOT
eating dinner...they were drinking and talking. during all the time we were
there, they didn't eat anything. what is up with that??? we were paying
customers - it wasn't like we weren't going to order anything. we were going to
eat something! what a way to treat customers.
Number11BUS 03/18/01 4:31 PM Civil Rage
There seems to be a constant thread in the
rage being expressed this particular week. Civil Rage. Many people are very
perplexed at the lack of response from those in power to those under the
impression they have no power. The children in early education and elementary
school are extra "mean" in their language and actions toward their
fellow students. Teachers and assistants feel powerless to halt the aggression
(parent teaching vs civil behavior). Bus Drivers are rude to passengers
(service employee and consumer). Computer Lab Techs are not helping students
(service employee and consumer). Mosquitos and roaches in rented
rooms--landlord lack of responsibility. Gov and Teacher Union, Gov and UHPA,
Gov and Civil Service Employees...power in the controller of the budget and the
lack of power in the bargaining units. Drivers cutting people off on the road
in a rush to --anywhere else. Phone solicitors being pushy when you want to go.
There seems, to me, to be a constant thread. We don't seem to have enough time
to do all we are required to do. We seem to be aggressive in the management of
our time, our's is worth more than theirs. We teach our children to compete
aggressively and they become bullies. We disregard our service employees and
they take their aggressiveness out on us the consumer. We feel helpless to end
this circle. We are divided and often conquered by this endless circle of
casting blame on anyone but ourselves. Time is money. Winning is everything.
But what do we give up when we feel and think this way? We give up compasion,
ethics, logic, civil interaction. We are losing our community of [name it]
drivers, students, teachers, government, family. How do we get it back? We start
with outselves. Leave early to avoid agressive driving. Smile once in a while.
Try on someone else's shoes and see if you can see their point of view. Request
good service and expect to receive it. Pay a fair wage for the job requested.
Commit to doing a good job when you have a job to do. Thank the ones who give
you good service. We get so wrapped up in getting everything done, on time--we
loose sight of people. Hug, shake a hand, smile, pat on the back, communicate
that you appreciate the hard work and time spent of others on your behalf. Be
responsible for your actions, thoughs, feelings. Many things are up in the air
just now with the possible strike(s) however, the reason it comes to a strike
situation is precisely because some of us have not kept our committments to
those others of us. Parents need help in raising their children to be
responsible citizens. Students need help in negotiating computer labs, tuition
increases, places to live, and goldenrods. Bus drivers need to be let into
traffic more often. Educators everywhere need to be recognized as valuable
people in the community. Folks are getting scared of each other and getting
defensive. Rebuilding the community starting with the self is best. Wave at
your neighbor on the way to the mail box to pick up your daily ration of bills.
Say thank you to the bank clerk. Keep trying to be a community member...these
students today are going to be your co-workers tomorrow. Try.Cheers

ddestrad 03/18/01 5:41 PM Survey on Rage
Since i havent' been able to come up with a
lot of things that i'm raging about, my fellow roomates on my floor in Gateway
have assisted me. I did a survey on what has been annoying everyone or making
them rage recently and this is what we all agreed on. All of my roomates( which
is around 8 of us) all agree that the excessive amount of homework given out by
our teacheres is absurd. The incredible amount of work that has been given out
is not only unhelpful to us, takes up almost all of our free time but also will
not be attainable. All of our teachers bombard us with worthless homework that
isn't helpful to our education and in many cases we aren't learning a whole lot
from it either.

Thanks both of you guys. My upset feeling
have calmed down reading your comments. As both of you told, she might have
some reason in doing so. For now, i try to meet with everybody with an equall
attitude, inside apartment or outside. Although i might change my mind when I
found the truth exactly about her.....

03/19/01 5:59 PM RE: A Racist Security
Rage
That is so bad in this day and age. I can't
believe people would do that! But *hopefully* it isn't what it seems. Maybe
they are friendlier towards her and she feels more comfortable talking to them.
Maybe your friends don't really speak to her, or the tenants that are not
caucasian with the kids that do wrong don't really know her and she them. I
can't say what the situation really is, but maybe if you try to get to know her
a little more, make a little small talk, then after if she still seems mean to
non-caucasians then she probably doesn't like people who aren't caucasian.
There could be many reasons though why she does that to the tenants, as I am sure
you know. If she is a racist though, that is too bad, she is missing out on
alot of things she could learn from all the different ethnicities! And this is
Hawaii too! How can someone be so compelled to only single one group out to be
nice to?? I just don't get it, the mixture of ethnicities is what makes Hawaii
what it is. It is a closed mind that doesn't see the possibilities out there. I
hope she isn't really racist!

03/19/01 4:45 PM RE:
A Racist Security Rage
It makes me so sad to hear about incidents
such as yours. If you think she's racist, hey, you're probably right. Whenever
I find myself in those kind of situations, I get pretty angry inside. Don't you
just wish the world was void of ignorance. I fantasize about punishing people
who are racist, but that wouldn't make me the better person. I appreciate
living in Hawaii where we can be proud of our diversity and our sense of
"ALOHA". Hopefully the ignorant individuals of the world will catch
on. I'm not immune to my own prejudices but I try and not generalize.
Hopefully, there is some other reason why she's that way, if not, I sincerely
think that people like her will eventually disappear as we teach the present
generations that differences are what make us unique and that we can all
coexist as humans, without the rage provoked by racism.

Racist Security Rage
I hate a new security in my apartment that is
a Caucasian. I like all of securities except her, because they are friendly and
meet with residents equally. However, whenever I meet with and say hello to the
new security in my apartment, she never responses to me. My impression is that
she is so cold person. The other day, my friends who live in the same apartment
talked to me about the security. Then I noticed that she was a sort of racist.
They said that she was a racist against all of people except white people. My
friends said that whenever the security met with white residents, she always
smiled to them and said hello cheerfully, but didnft to other races. And they
found that if residents or their kids did something wrong unintentionally or
intentionally, she complained only toward residents except Caucasian and their
kids, besides, with angry looks. After hearing about the security from my
friends, I tried to observe her a little. What my friends said could be right.
A couple of week ago, a few Asian residents including me, and a Caucasian
couple had been waiting for the elevator. Then when the elevator came down to
us, the security was about to get out from it. Then as soon as she found the
Caucasian couple, she said gHello, Mr. and Mrs. XXX. How are you doing?h
However, she ignored us. Actually I have never seen that she smiled to
residents. Now I knew that she smiled to only white people. Of course, it is
not only the Caucasian security that discreminate. We might also discriminate
toward them, or each other, so that I cannot strongly complain against only the
security, but I hope that as long as we show a friendly and polite attitude,
they also be free from their stereotype.

03/18/01 10:42 PM No Specific Rage
I went out for dinner with my family on
Tuesday to celebrate my sisters birthday, and when we were finished eating, we
saw something really strange. Some dude, who was driving a huge truck, couldn't
get outta the paking structure. I was like 'how the heck did he get that big
ole van in,' it was kind of wierd. Maybe the racks on top of the van were able
to fit just perfectly on the way in, but not on the way out? Anyway, there was
a security officer there, and he didn't even want to help this poor dude out.
He was riding his little bicycle, and he would have rode right past 'the
sitiuation' if my dad wouldn't have yelled at his fat ass. I don't know, maybe
the security guard didn't see a problem, but I'm pretty sure he did. It kind of
upsetting to me that there aren't more altruistic people in this freakin'
world. People are too buisy with there personal lives that they can't stop for
2 seconds to help a poor guy trapped in a structure. About 50 people walked by,
and no one even stopped. They just gave negative comments, I wanted to just
tell them to shut up and help the guy. My father is a community man who will
help a person who is in trouble without thinking twice, and because I grew up
around him, I can't understand why there aren't more people like that. The
security guard, the guy who's supposed to take care of everything in the area,
didn't even show an interest and this is kinda confusing to me, because it is
his territory. Anyway, my dad helped this guy maneuver his vehicle out of the
structure, it was pretty tight, but they got it out at just the right angle.
Even though everything was alright afterwards, when the dude in the van was
stuck, the other drivers where beeping their horns, like they where untamed
animals or something, and they where getting angry for nothing. Instead of
trying to help a guy out, they get aggressive and self-absorbed, and instead of
trying to see what was happening, they just drove around the van in a rage, it
was very upsetting.
TVR 03/22/01 12:55 PM RE: Road Rage
I know what your feeling because I had an
incident like this happened to me before. Except for a stuffed animal this guy
had a sock puppet. I also thought it was pretty funny in the beginning but
later it irriated me alot. It also was distracting other drivers and thought to
myself that this couldn't be safe. The worse part about this incident was that
we were stuck in traffic and I was stuck looking at that stupid thing forevers.
I was hoping that a cop would see this and pulled the dumb guy over. But,
ofcourse there wasn't. I don't really remember what happened in the end. But,
probably I just passed him or something and that was the end of it. But, I just
remember thinking to myself that these guys must have been mental or something.
Because, I thought only children did these kinds of things.

03/18/01 11:28 PM RE: Road Rage
Who cares, everybody says stuff like that, as
long as you're not really gonna shoot the stuffed animal, there is nothing
wrong with that. Compared to Eminem's latest CD your your a freakin' angel.
These type of attitude is all over the mainstream, and I know that there are a
lot of people who say stuff like that, it's not bad. If you're really gonna
soot the animal then it's bad, but everyone says stuff that they have no
intentions on acting out. The main thing is, you were aware of what you said,
and that means everything. I probably would have said the same thing, because I
have been totally desensitized by music and movie's, but if my mom was next to
me I probably would have had a conflict in conscience. Maybe because she is the
person that raised me, and I don't want her to think that I have deviant
thoughts like that. I might not make a comment like this in front of my mom
because she might take it personally, but in front of my friends, ROCK ON!

Rage
Young adults like to have fun. They do things
that are childish and sometimes stupid. On this particular day I was just not
in the mood to deal with it. I was driving on my way to Pearlrigde and there
was this car in front of me with three people in it. There was one guy in the
front passenger seat sticking a stuff animal through the sun roof and making it
dance. I laughed in the beginning, but after awhile I go sick of looking at it.
I told my mom I wish I had a gun, not literally. It was so irratating I wanted
to shoot it. I was not going crazy yelling about it. It was just a passing
thought that crossed my mind.

03/23/01 12:46 AM RE:
Verbal Road Rage
How does someone direct their hate at people
for owning a certain type of car? I can see hating that type of car but not the
people in it. You can't tell what a person is like just because of their car,
although people have tried. Now they're saying that people who own minivans are
more family-oriented and people who own SUV's are more into themselves and are
more showy. Although I find all of this to be interesting, I don't think people
can judge people by the type of cars they have. There are a lot of people with
the same type of car as me and we are all completely different but maybe
because it's just a common car. Who knows! It sounds like that person has a
problem, I'd probably just laugh at them and try to keep my distance.

Hahaha, I understand you. I hate Beetles. I
think those are so agry! We all have likes and dislikes, but you don't have to
yell at your dislikes!! If someone yell at me just because he hates my car, I
would stop my car, turn around, and kick his ass (sorry!). Well, that's another
rage response though... I have to admit that I always have to try really hard
to shut my mouth while I am driving because there are too many things that
makes me want swear ^_^
sakodash 03/19/01 10:30 AM RE: Verbal Road Rage
I have to admit, I am guilty of verbal road
rage all the time. I do it verbally just because I'm too scared to actually say
it in someones face. Anyway, I also have a thing for cars. I hate Jettas. I
know that it's wrong but I HATE this one girl who drives one. I only hate that
one type/style/model car in white. I don't actually hate the unknown people driving
it but it's just that everytime I see one, I get this feeling in the pit of my
stomach that makes me so angry. I don't know. I can't explain it either.
