Impact of future climate change on marine ecosystems and people

Welcome to our project on the expected impact of future climate change on marine biota and people. This project is intended to provide robust and comprehensive scenarios of future climate change along the lines of expected changes in temperature, oxygen, pH and ocean productivity for the ocean's surface and seafloor layers, given two contrasting CO2 scenarios. These data will then be used to quantify the fraction of global ecosystems and biodiversity hotspots that will be influenced by the individual and combined effects of climate change variables. Finally, we aim to quantify the number of people vulnerable to climate change given the loss of marine goods and services and peoples' economic resilience.
